Shapeshift Baby Shapeshift Giclée Print (unframed)

Shapeshift Baby Shapeshift Giclée Print (unframed)

from £40.00

Shapeshift Baby Shapeshift is a tiny pastel and acrylic work that arrived as thick and sudden as a slug after rain. I wanted to capture the movement and the transformation of slug bodies in quick, shapeshifting lines. I think sticky oil pastel particularly suits the slug body: it is viscous, and shapeshifting, just like the slugs.

The title comes from a line in my book SLUGS: a Manifesto.

This work forms part of my series slugspaceslug: a series of small works on paper and card made in crip time, during a period of winter hibernation. Each piece explores the physics of becoming slug-like: slugs bend into strange and unusual places, or spill over into spaces in which they don't belong.

About the printing process:

Giclée printing is often used for fine art reproductions due to its high quality precision and detail. Digital scans of the artworks are sprayed onto archival quality paper with high pigment ink, capturing  the essence of the original artwork with vibrant colors and incredible detail.

Shapeshift baby shapeshift looks great in giclée as it captures every scratch and overlap of the pastel work.

Printed on Hahnemühle German Etching , 310 GSM (a heavy, textured paper). Comes with a certificate of authenticity.

SHIPPING AND RETURNS FAQ

SHIPPING

Where do you ship from?

Most orders are packed and shipped by me (Abi Palmer) from London, UK.

These high quality giclee prints are distributed separately through The Print Space. Shipping will be calculated at checkout. Prints are excluded from free shipping promotions.

Please note: I’m an independent artist with a chronic illness running a very small business — thank you for supporting my weird art!

Will I have to pay import tax or customs fees?

If you’re ordering from outside the UK:

  • You might be charged local VAT or import tax depending on your country’s rules.

If you’re ever unsure, feel free to ask me before ordering.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Region

Estimated Delivery Time

UK

2-4 working days from dispatch

Europe

5-10 working days from dispatch

USA/Canada

7-14 working days from dispatch

Rest of world

10-20 working days from dispatch

Please note I’m one artist with a chronic illness running this on top of my creative practice and show installs, so I normally only post once a week. You’ll get a dispatch email when your order leaves my studio. If you need your item by a certain date, please contact me at [email protected] and I’ll do my best to reach you.

My order hasn’t arrived — what do I do?

You will be notified when your item has been dispatched. Please wait until the maximum estimated delivery time for your region. If it’s been longer than that, drop me an email at [email protected] with your order number, and I’ll investigate. I’ll always do my best to help!

Can I order a gift?

Absolutely — just leave a note at checkout. I can include a handwritten tag or a sluggy picture on request.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Can I return or exchange an item?

Because I’m a tiny independent artist-run shop, I can’t usually offer returns or exchanges unless something has gone wrong. That said — I really want you to love what you’ve ordered!

If there’s a problem with your order (damaged in transit, missing items, wrong product), email me at [email protected] within 14 days of receiving it, and I’ll do my best to sort it.

My item arrived damaged / I received the wrong item

So sorry! Snail Mail has its faults!

Please email me at [email protected] within 14 days, with:

  • A photo of the item

  • Your order number

I’ll replace it where possible, or offer a refund or shop credit if stock is no longer available.

I changed my mind — can I return it?

Unfortunately I can’t accept returns if you’ve simply changed your mind, especially for small items like stickers, tattoos, or sale items. I’m a very small operation and each item is packed with care — I appreciate your understanding!

What about clothing sizes?

I include full measurements and sizing info on clothing listings. If you’re unsure, feel free to message me before ordering — I’m happy to help guide you. For hygiene reasons, I can’t accept returns on worn items unless they’re faulty.

Do I have to pay return shipping?

If your item was faulty, I’ll cover return shipping where required. For any agreed returns, please don’t send anything back without contacting me first.

What about international orders?

Same policy applies — if your item is damaged or missing, contact me within 14 days of delivery. I’ll do my best to replace or refund.

Please note that I can’t refund international customs duties or VAT — those are handled by your country’s postal system.

When will I receive my refund?

Once a return is agreed and (if required) the item is received back, I’ll process your refund within 5  working days via your original payment method.
